China’s Climate Change Research Contributions from a Global Perspective

From Max Planck Institute: “The rapid expansion of funding for Chinese scientific research since the 2000s has served to raise Chinese quantitative and qualitative output of scientific publications. If Chinese authors with an address outside of the PRC are included, i.e., those working in organizations in the US, Europe and, Japan, the extent of scientific publications by Chinese researchers would be even larger than usually reported, so that the actual estimated contribution of Chinese researchers of global scientific output would amount to 36 percent.”
