Our latest social outing saw a large crew of Kioskers take the ferry to Angel Island, the scenic destination with some of the best views of the San Francisco Bay Area. Once there, things got a bit competitive with a boisterous game of rounders (a British game with more than a passing resemblance to softball).
For some, the fun may have come from rounders’ unique scoring system, which includes an absence of baseball-style strikeouts. For others, it’s all about creatively distracting players on the other team. With a Kiosk-style blend of data and creativity in place, an afternoon of glorious sunshine and appropriate refreshments was enjoyed. You can debate all you like about whether rounders is all the better for lack of strikeouts, but there’s no question that it’s good fun to get out of the office together for summer fun.
