Kiosk is Novato Large Business of the Year
Each year, the Novato Chamber of Commerce recognizes two businesses for their outstanding business practices, civic leadership and community service. They award a small business (25 employees or less) and a large business (26 employees or over).
On Thursday, January 14th, Kiosk was selected as the recipient of the Large Business of the Year Award. In making the award, Coy Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the Novato Chamber of Commerce cited Kiosk’s commitment to working within the local community, as an employer, a resource for North Bay businesses and a frequent supporter of local charities and nonprofits.
We are all thrilled and immensely humbled by the nomination, let alone winning this award. At this event there were businesses celebrating 50 years of membership in the Novato Chamber of Commerce. My goal is to stick around to see Kiosk achieve that milestone.
Kiosk formally opened our US offices in downtown Novato in 2012 and quickly grew to over 40 employees. As a business owner, you have a choice of where to set up your company’s offices. We chose Novato for its great community. The quality of people who live and work in Novato is exceptional. This is a team effort. Kiosk is the sum of its incredible staff. The team is the reason for this recognition.
The Novato business community has also been incredibly supportive and welcoming since we arrived. Our downtown is experiencing a resurgence which is good for our entire community and expands into the quality of effort that our clients experience as they have a team of people who are fulfilled by the environment in which they work.
Giving back has always been a part of Kiosk. This recognition is due in large part to that commitment. Our work with local and international charities was lauded in the Certificate of Recognition from the US House of Representatives presented to us by our Congressman Jared Huffman, in a Certificate of Recognition from the California State Legislature delivered by State Senator Mike McGuire, in a commendation from the Marin County Board of Supervisors delivered by Marin County Supervisor Judy Arnold and in the presentation of the Key to the City delivered by Novato Mayor Pat Eklund.
We are looking forward to continuing to put Novato on the map.
