As Covid-19 surges, some campuses will start the semester online

From The Chronicle: “Some universities in Texas and California are delaying in-person learning, opting instead for remote classes in the first weeks of the fall semester to mitigate the rise in Covid-19 infections. Among the campuses that have announced a delay: At the Alamo Colleges District in San Antonio, Tex., fall classes begin on August 23, but most will be conducted remotely for the first two weeks of the semester. The University of Texas at San Antonio announced that most courses will be held online for the first three weeks of the semester. Stanislaus State, a member of the 23-campus California State University, has also decided to delay in-person instruction until October 1.”
