Bills to address mental health, addiction on campus pass house

From Inside Higher Ed: “Two bipartisan bills targeting mental health and substance abuse passed the House. They would create new policies for campuses to carry out evidence-based programs to address the rising mental health crisis. … Both bills … have been introduced in the Senate, where similar support is expected. … The Enhancing Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Through Campus Planning Act would require the Education Department to partner with the Department of Health and Human Services to encourage colleges to create comprehensive plans to address mental health and suicide on campus.”
