Online students want to “feel pride in their institution”

According to “Online College Students 2020: A Comprehensive Data on Demands and Preferences” — a joint project of Wiley Education Services and Aslanian Market Research, a division of EducationDynamics — a sense of belonging and pride in their institution is still very important to online students. 75% of respondents chose a school within 50 miles of their home address, and more than 10% of respondents attended on-campus sporting events. This connection to and pride in their institution led 12% of past students to donate to their alma mater and more than one-third to enroll in additional courses once they completed their degree.
